What is Help from the Heart?
ProCharity is an online platform that brings together charities and professionals willing to share their expertise pro bono. This is a new technological way for volunteers to realize their need for good deeds and interesting professional tasks, and for NGOs – to get access to the help of qualified specialists in solving their tasks.
How to work with Help from the Heart?
The task is placed in the “Tasks” section in the following categories: “Design and layout”, “Marketing and communications”, “Translations”, “IT”, “Legal services”, and “Consulting”. The volunteer responds to the task, discusses the details of the work on it in work correspondence under the task, and gets to work. After we accept the work and rate the volunteer (give him/her a rating and feedback), the volunteer closes the task and chooses a bonus in the “Partner Bonuses” section.
What is an NPO?
NPO is a non-profit organization, which does not have as the main purpose of its activities the extraction of profit and does not distribute profits among its members. Non-profit organizations can be created to achieve social, charitable, cultural, educational, political, scientific and managerial goals, in the areas of public health, development of physical culture and sports, satisfaction of spiritual and other non-material needs of citizens, protection of rights and legitimate interests of citizens and organizations, resolving disputes and conflicts, providing legal assistance, as well as for other purposes aimed at achieving public benefits.
Is it possible to become a volunteer if you don’t have the appropriate professional skills?
Unfortunately, no. ProCharity only employs professionals who have the appropriate competencies. This is important for finding the best solutions to NPOs’ professional challenges.
What is the “Moderator Help” section?
This section contains tasks that have been blocked by a moderator after an NPO or volunteer has clicked the “Moderator Help” button. The moderator is notified of the conflict situation and deals with it privately.
